History

Jamil, the founder of CA has always had an interest in flight and photography. He started his aviation journey at a young age and those first journeys instilled a wanderlust that resulted in him travelling extensively across the world as a passenger on commercial jetliners, private planes, and a few helicopter rides thrown in. It was during these trips that his passion for photography was ignited as he strived to document the places he was fortunate to visit.

After graduation from college he turned his attention to flying small unmanned aircraft as a hobbyist for fun and bonding with his young son. As his experience grew so did the size and capability of the drones and eventually he obtained a basic drone with a camera. It was this drone that started his journey to becoming a commercial drone pilot after he became captivated by the view the drone allowed. He still flies the small drones with his son for the sheer love of flying but spends most of his flight time with larger commercial drones and he is always adding new copters to the collection.

Jamil started Cynosure Aerial with a goal to share his love of of the view from 400 feet (the max height allowed by the FAA for drones to fly) and the creative art of photography and videography.
